Coaching can take place in person, by phone, or through video conferencing. Each has its distinct advantages.

My Services

Individual
Coaching

I help my individual coaching clients create a grounded framework for action.

Individuals choose coaching as a catalyst for the changes they are ready to make for themselves, either personally or professionally. They recognize the emerging courage to reimagine their lives, and are summoning the will to dive deep in order to spring forward. Most have some kind of vision for what’s possible, but it is often unclear, ungrounded, and unstructured.

My typical individual/executive coaching engagements range from 9 months to 2 years
or more and include:

• Initial 1.5 hour discovery session to unearth values and vision, establish goals, and begin our journey.

• Two 1-hour sessions/month to steadily deepen and broaden our work.

• Check-in calls, as needed.

Focus Group Facilitation

Focus group facilitation is a different but related animal…a second cousin of sorts. Often they are initiated by an organization’s desire to “test” an idea, either with employees or customers, and they usually fit within a larger policy or product development initiative.

The same basic coaching skills apply, however: create trust, explore attitudes and assumptions, and identify actionable themes.

A typical focus group facilitation engagement includes:

• 1-2 client meetings to clarify purpose/need.
• Focus group facilitation (number of groups TBD by client)
• Follow-up written report and/or summary meeting

Executive/Leadership

Coaching

I help high-potential executives make bigger and better professional contributions.

These leaders are driven and ready to rise up to new levels of leadership. They have already demonstrated enormous competence and have signaled a readiness for growth that has garnered the confidence and support of their employers.

My typical executive/leadership coaching engagements range from 9 months to 2 years or more and include:

• Initial client discovery session to explore coaching goals and expectations and begin to unearth values, strengths, and challenges.

• Manager/HR rep session to establish organizational goals, clarify purpose of engagement and confidentiality terms, and explore client strengths and weaknesses.
• [Optional colleague interviews]
• Client debrief to identify key issues, establish areas of focus, and set goals
• Two 1-hour sessions/month to steadily deepen and broaden our work.
• Semi-regular manager/HR rep sessions to assess progress and validate goals

• Client check-in calls, as needed.

Team/Group Facilitation

I work with teams to activate a shared vision that is actionable on all levels: for the organization, within teams, and individually.

Excellent facilitation stems from the same place as excellent coaching (I call it “coaching writ medium”): intense focus, the capacity to dig for values and themes, a facility for reading people, and the skill to connect ideas to action.

Often team/group coaching and individual coaching are mutually reinforcing, and many organizations choose to combine them into a package engagement that includes:

• Manager session to clarify purpose of engagement.
• 2 initial team/group sessions to establish overarching purpose and goals, clarify
individual areas of responsibility/accountability, and build momentum
• Select individual coaching (see executive/leadership engagement description
above)
• 1-2 follow-up group sessions to celebrate successes, identify areas for ongoing
improvement, and course correct as needed.
• Semi-regular manager sessions to review progress, identify areas for ongoing
improvement, and course correct as needed.
